MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood University women’s golf team opened the 2026-27 season at Concordia University Wisconsin in Bird Bowl IV on Sunday. The Eagles claimed the victory in the dual meet, firing a team score of 349.
HOW IT HAPPENED
– Grace Schomin led the Eagles with a career-best 77 (+5) on Saturday. Schomin’s score was good for first place and ties for third best in program history.
– Vivi Hruby impressed for the Eagles in her first outing. Hruby posted an 85 (+13) to finish third overall.
– Kendall Kafar was the next Eagle, scoring a 91 (+19) to finish fifth overall.
– Lia Gawryk finished sixth in her first meet, scoring a 96 (+24).
– Elisia Wynos and Isla Rechlicz rounded out the Eagles in the meet. Wynos finished ninth with a 98 (+26), while Rechlicz posted an 100 (+28) to finish 10th.
THE MEET
– Edgewood University took home their second Bird Bowl victory with a team score of 349 (+61). The Eagles team score is tied for fifth best in program history.
UP NEXT
– Edgewood University is set to compete at the Firebird Fall Invite on September 4 and 5. Action is set for Mundelein, Ill. from Countryside G.C. on Friday.
