CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men’s soccer team returned to the pitch on Saturday, holding off No. 19 FAU for a 0-0 draw.
Through an evenly matched first half, the Vikings were able to hold the Owls scoreless, taking a 0-0 draw into the halftime break.
With three shots during the first 45 minutes of action, Cleveland State’s best shot on goal came from Domenic Ruggiero, who had a look from the left side of the box in the 15th minute.
The Vikings had a strong defensive effort during the first half, as Aleksandar Kolar recorded five saves to keep a clean sheet through halftime.
The second half was much of the same, as the Owls held a slight 4-2 edge in shots, with Cleveland State’s two shots coming on goal from Ognjen Bozovic and Uzman Ramees.
