HAMILTON, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania men’s golf team finished sixth out of 13 teams at the season-opening Alex Lagowitz Memorial. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was hosted by Colgate University at the par-72 Seven Oaks Golf Club.

Penn shot 9-over-par 873 across three rounds in Hamilton. Seton Hall took home first place as a team, finishing the weekend at 11-under-par 853. That left the Pirates 10 shots ahead of second-place Saint Joseph’s (863) and 13 ahead of third-place finishers Holy Cross and Colgate (866).
Sophomore Kayden Wang was the Quakers’ low scorer over the weekend. He had Penn’s low round for the weekend in the second round, a 4-under-par 68, and concluded the weekend at 3-under-par 213. That left him tied for fifth in a field of 84 golfers, the best finish of his young career. Senior Hayden Adams carded 1-under-par 215 and tied for 14th, while sophomore Arjun Caprihan finished the weekend in 20th, shooting even par in all three rounds.
Sean Curran (223, +7, IND), Wesley Hu (229, +13) and Oliver Uribe (231, +15) were Penn’s other players on the weekend.
Charlie Barrickman was the events’ individual winner, finishing at 7-under-par 209 to claim the top spot. Seton Hall’s Will Hennessee placed second with a 5-under-par 211 while Evan Rohde from Villanova and Blake Goodnight from Seton Hall finished 4-under-par 210.
