Players of the Week Certificates
The Peach Belt Conference has released Players of the Week for cross country, soccer and volleyball. Augusta’s Eli Corn and Kaitlyn Lumbra secure cross country Runners of the Week. Middle Georgia’s Javier Gongora Andres, North Georgia’s Owen Wallace and Miguel Pineda take home the men’s soccer honors. USC Beaufort’s Erin Barrett and Lander’s Langley Stewart and Leah Hayes Coen secure the women’s soccer honors, as Hayes Coen picks up her second honor in as many weeks. Flagler’s Marley Middlebrooks and Jillian Young alongisde USCA’s Kira Bostic claim the volleyball honors.

Scored two goals including the game winner in a 3-2 victory over West Alabama
Scored the opening two goals in a 4-2 victory over Reinhardt, with his first goal coming just three minutes into the game
Gongora Andres is tied for the most goals in the PBC on the season with 5, averaging 1.250 per game and points with 10, averaging 2.50 per game

Played all 270 minutes on the week, anchoring the backline that allowed just one goal across three games
Held #22 Florida Tech to just six shots, 1 on goal in the 0-0 tie
Allowed just 7 shots on goal vs #24 Palm Beach Atlantic in the 2-0 victory
Allowed just 3 shots on goal in the 3-1 victory vs #9 AUM, a team that had scored two goals in each of their first three games of the season

Defensive Player of the Week
Langley Stewart, Lander
Junior, Defender
Led the Lander defense to a 1-0-1 week, as the Bearcats have yet to concede a goal in the 2026 season
Stewart scored a goal and assisted on the other in Lander’s 2-0 home win over Converse last Wednesday, giving her three points for the match.
Stewart and her defensive unit kept the Valkyries off the board and didn’t allow a single shot on goal.
On Saturday versus Wingate, Stewart and the defense again held their opponent to zero goals in a 0-0 draw. Wingate had five shots on goal in that game.

Goalkeeper of the Week
Leah Hayes Coen, Lander
Senior, Goalkeeper
Helped Lander to a 2-0 week
Hayes Coen produced a pair of clean sheets last week as Lander beat Converse 2-0 at home on Wednesday, and tied 0-0 with Wingate on Saturday
She played the entirety of both matches and made a season-high five saves against the Bulldogs.
Hayes Coen has yet to concede a goal this season, as she leads the PBC with three shutouts

Middlebrooks produced 16 kills and 12 digs in the team’s 3-0 win over Saint Leo
Tallied 16 kills, five aces and 26 digs in a 3-1 win over Valdosta
Recorded a season-high 24 kills and a career-high 26 digs in the 3-2 win over Maryville (Mo.)

Guided the Pacers to an undefeated weekend at the USCA Invitational
Recorded a career-high 36 digs in the win over Shorter, marking the eighth most digs in a five-set match in school history
Added 12 digs in the wins over Carson-Newman and Lee before posting 21 against North Greenville
Added 10 aces during the weekend and a pair of kills.

Adding 25 assists, three kills, and 10 digs in the 3-1 win over Valdosta
