CHEYENNE – Cheyenne Central’s boys tennis team picked up two road victories Tuesday.
The Indians closed their day with a 5-0 win at Torrington. They won all their matches in straight sets. Central’s No. 3 doubles team of Henry Lance and Tyler Trimble won 6-0, 6-0. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Michael Smedley and Landon Jones won 6-3, 7-6 (5).
David Smedley (No. 1 singles), Sam Smedley (No. 2 singles) and Kaden Keen and Keegan Schmidt (No. 2) also won their matches.
The Indians started the day with a 4-1 dual win at Scottsbluff, Neb. David Smedley closed out his No. 1 singles with by winning in a tie-breaker, 6-3, 7-6 (1). Keen and Schmidt won 6-1, 2-6, 10-2.

The Central girls also topped Torrington 5-0.
Cailey Smedley (No. 1 singles) and Lauren O’Donnell (No. 2 singles) both won 6-0, 6-0. The No. 2 doubles team of Kamaile Reed and Taylor Trautwein and the No. 3 tandem of Sakura Joelson and Harley McRady both dropped just two games in their straight-set wins.
East girls drop close dual at Torrington
CHEYENNE – Singles players provided the Cheyenne East girls’ lone wins during a 3-2 dual loss Tuesday afternoon at Torrington.
Maleea Cruz topped Aftyn Hager, 6-4, 6-0, in No. 1 singles action. No. 2 singles player Addyson Miller rallied from a set down to beat Emmelin Marlee, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The No. 1 doubles tandem of Miracle Fennell and Paige Bassett lost to Madson Hatch and Keelin Connelly, 6-2, 1-6, 3-6.
