Olivia Miles has been a revelation in her rookie WNBA season and Sophie Cunningham has compared her to Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic.

Big things were expected from Olivia Miles when she was drafted No. 2 overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft. As a rookie, she has surpassed all those expectations and then some.

The Minnesota Lynx point guard was named an All-Star in her first year in the league. She has played a key role in making the Lynx the best WNBA team so far this season.

And now, Sophie Cunningham has given her some high praise, comparing her to an NBA superstar.

Cunningham has become one of the faces of the W this season. When she was asked about Miles, she was quite complimentary.

Speaking on a podcast, the Indiana Fever star revealed what she sees in the young star’s game that reminds her of Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic.

“I understand she’s fast, like she truly is fast, but in those clips right there, it reminds me a lot of Luka,” Cunningham said on the No Hesitation Podcast.

“His body control is so good that he can just make the right read because he’s in full control of his defender, the defender in front of him, and he knows exactly how to use his body to get the best shot or to give the best assist. So, that reminded me a lot of Luka.

That is high praise for the rookie, Doncic is a perennial MVP candidate and the NBA’s most complete offensive engine. Miles has a chance to emulate him further by balling out in the playoffs, too.
