MADISON, Wis. – The University of Iowa women’s golf team is tied for fourth place following two completed rounds of the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course.

The Hawkeyes have a 36-hole total of 586 (+10) after carding a 9-over-par 297 in Monday’s second round. Iowa is tied with Notre Dame for fourth place, four strokes behind third-place Wisconsin. Iowa State leads the field at 572 (-4). 

The field also played nine holes of the third round Monday because of Tuesday’s weather forecast. The final nine holes will be completed Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. (CT) with a shotgun start.

Sunny Wang leads the Hawkeyes individually, tied for third at 1-under par through 36 holes. Wang followed her opening-round 71 with an even-par 72 Monday.

Eva Kristinsdottir is tied for 11th at 1-over par following a second-round 76.

Maura Peters is tied for 36th at 5-over par after carding a 4-over-par 76 in the second round.

Ximena Benites is tied for 40th at 6-over par after shooting a 2-over-par 74.

Paige Giovenco posted a 3-over-par 75 in the second round and sits tied for 80th at 14-over par.

Lily Huether, competing as an individual, carded a 2-over-par 74 and is tied for 18th at 3-over par through 36 holes.
