CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia and Virginia Tech learned their 2027 Atlantic Coast Conference football opponents Wednesday as the league moves into the second season of its nine-game conference scheduling model.
The ACC announced conference opponents for all 17 football programs, with 16 teams scheduled to play nine league games in 2027. Clemson will be the lone team with eight ACC games, with the eight-game designation rotating among conference members in future seasons.
Virginia will play four of its nine ACC games at Scott Stadium and five on the road.
The Cavaliers will host Louisville, Pitt, SMU and Virginia Tech.
Virginia will travel to Boston College, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina and Stanford.
The 2027 edition of the Commonwealth Clash will be at Scott Stadium after the Cavaliers are scheduled to play at Virginia Tech in 2026.
Virginia Tech will have five ACC home games and four road games in 2027.
The Hokies will host Clemson, Miami, NC State, Syracuse and Wake Forest.
Virginia Tech will travel to Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina and Virginia.

The ACC’s nine-game model is designed to ensure every program plays at least 10 games annually against Power Four opponents, including at least one Power Four nonconference opponent for 16 teams in 2027. The conference said the model also maintains opportunities for regional rivalries and marquee matchups.
The ACC has not yet announced dates, kickoff times or television information for the 2027 games. The full conference schedule will be released at a later date.
