Bueckers returned to league action on Thursday as the Dallas Wings took on the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Wings came away with a 97-77 win and Paige scored 19 points, meaning she now needs 25 more in the remaining regular season ties to make history.

“She’ll need to average just (8.3) points per game over her final three games to break the record.”

That record is currently held by Seimone Augustus, who managed 1,513 points with an average of 22.3.
Paige’s average is currently slightly lower at 19.9. However, she has already played more games, featuring in 75 WNBA ties compared to Augustus’ 68.
Still, with only 25 points needed to break the record, Bueckers could put herself into the history books in one or two games.
The Wings are next back on the court against the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday before playing them again on Monday, and then rounding out their campaign versus the Las Vegas Aces on September 24.
