KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Herb Page Men’s Golf team is heading to Independence, Minnesota on Saturday for the Gopher Invitational.  

The Golden Flashes will travel 800 miles to the Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence, Minn., a half hour west of the host school, the University of Minnesota. The event features power conference schools such as Cincinnati, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Rutgers. MAC opponent Miami (OH) is also competing in the tournament.

Iowa State is back in the tournament after winning the Gopher Invitational championship in 2024. Other returning teams – Minnesota, Nebraska, Rutgers and Marquette – also finished higher than the Golden Flashes the last time they were in Independence.
