Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese is one of the best rebounders in WNBA history and her most recent record shows how dominant she’s been.
Reese already owns the league record for the most rebounds in a single-season. However, the former LSU Tigers basketball star is adding onto that total by etching herself into the record books.
Reese became the first player to ever haul in 500 rebounds during the 2026 WNBA campaign. Meanwhile, Reese’s historic mark shows how excellent she’s been down low since coming into the league.
The 24-year-old star is on a mission this year to help Atlanta succeed in the postseason. The Dream already hold the fourth seed in the WNBA playoffs and trail first place by just four games.

Angel Reese’s latest WNBA record shows rebounding dominance

This isn’t uncharted territory for Reese as a rebounder. The WNBA talent posted 446 boards during the 2024 season, which was only second to A’ja Wilson’s 451 rebounds.
However, Reese’s latest mark shatters everything that’s been done in the league prior to this point. It’s pretty fitting that the Dream forward just revealed her latest sneaker drop after posting a superb game on Friday.

This season, Reese is averaging 16.5 points in addition to her 12.4 rebounds per game.

The WNBA star is hoping to give Atlanta a taste of their first championship in WNBA history this season. The Dream haven’t appeared in the finals since the 2013, where they fell to the Minnesota Lynx.
