**UPDATED AS OF TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 AT 3 PM ET**

🏈 AFC East◆ Buffalo BillsDJ Moore – WR (shoulder)

Moore suffered an AC joint sprain in the team’s Week 2 win over the Lions. He is reportedly day-to-day.
Impact: Moore has stepped into one of the featured roles in the Buffalo offense after being acquired this offseason. An absence could further propel tight end Dalton Kincaid into elite territory after the talented young tight end 225 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets through two games.

Ty Johnson – RB (hamstring)

Johnson missed his second consecutive game when the Bills beat the Lions on Thursday Night Football.

Impact: The Bills tinkered with getting lead back James Cook additional opportunities on key passing situations in the first half of their Week 1 win over the Texans but ditched the idea in favor of practice squad call-up Frank Gore Jr. after the break, placing a sudden halt on the idea of Cook seeing additional opportunities on third down. It appears the team will move forward with a familiar role for their lead rusher, regardless of Johnson’s status in Week 2.

◆ Miami DolphinsCaleb Douglas – WR (ankle)

Douglas suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 2 loss to the 49ers. Monday, head coach Jeff Hafley said it was too early to tell whether Douglas would play in Week 3.
Impact: Douglas appears to be in legitimate danger of missing the team’s Week 3 game against the Chiefs. Should he be unable to go, expect Jalen Tolbert to be active for the first time this season while additional volume could land on Malik Washington‘s plate.

◆ New England PatriotsA.J. Brown – WR (ankle)

The Patriots placed Brown on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

Impact: Brown was diagnosed with the dreaded high-ankle sprain and will now be forced to miss the next four games while on injured reserve, with the soonest he can return being in Week 6 when the Patriots host the Jets. Reports surfaced Monday stating that Brown will not require surgery. Mack Hollins stands to benefit in snap rate and route participation rate in his absence, although it was slot-man DeMario Douglas who led the team in route rate in their Week 1 loss to the Seahawks. There is a small possibility second-year receiver Kyle Williams is allowed to grow into the offense as a deep threat with a long week of practice before the Patriots take the field following their opening day loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday.

◆ New York JetsOmar Cooper – WR (ankle)Cooper is considered week-to-week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. The team placed him on injured reserve Saturday.

Impact: Cooper’s absence could afford rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq an opportunity to establish himself as a reliable contributor.

🏈 AFC North◆ Baltimore RavensZay Flowers – WR (hamstring)

Flowers missed the team’s Week 2 loss to the Saints. Head coach Jesse Minter said he “has a good shot” to play in Week 3 against the Cowboys.

Impact: Flowers’ absence was significant to a team unable to sustain drives in the second half against the Saints, allowing their opponent to complete yet another comeback after the half. Fantasy managers will want to track Flowers’ participation level in practice this week, but it appears as if he’ll be back on the field as an upside WR1 against the Cowboys.

Ja’Kobi Lane – WR (wrist)

Lane suffered a fractured wrist in the team’s Week 1 win over the Colts. He was placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery.

Impact: The popular breakout candidate caught a touchdown that was called back due to a penalty before departing with a fractured wrist in Week 1, and will now miss significant time. Rashod Bateman ran a route on almost every Lamar Jackson dropback in Week 1 but failed to catch his lone target. It remains more likely that Zay Flowers, if healthy, and Mark Andrews continue to be the points of emphasis through the air. Keep an eye on rookie wide receiver Elijah Sarratt.

◆ Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals emerged from their Week 2 win over the Texans absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

◆ Cleveland BrownsDylan Sampson – RB (knee)

Sampson is expected to miss ‘significant time’ after suffering a knee injury in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Jaguars. He was placed on injured reserve in Week 2.

Impact: Veteran journeyman Reheim Sanders stepped into the vacated change-of-pace and passing-down role, which is noteworthy considering it wasn’t lead back Quinshon Judkins who saw his role grow. This backfield appears as close to a full stay-away as possible in fantasy circles, at least for as long as Deshaun Watson remains the starter under center.

◆ Pittsburgh SteelersMichael Pittman – WR (foot)

Pittman did not play in Week 2 while dealing with a foot injury. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he was unsure if Pittman would play in Week 3.

Impact: The Steelers fell on their face in a difficult matchup against the Patriots in Pittman’s absence, with rookie Germie Bernard the biggest beneficiary in the box score. Even so, he parlayed eight targets into only 35 yards, making him a poor bet for sustained fantasy production in the interim.

🏈 AFC South◆ Houston TexansNico Collins – WR (hamstring)

Collins is expected to miss two weeks with the most recent injury. Head coach DeMeco Ryans did not have an update on his status Monday.

Impact: Collins has a long history of hamstring strains. Texans wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson is a very inefficient player, but he will play often. Adding newcomer wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is a worthwhile move. The player most likely to lead the team in targets against the Bengals is tight end Dalton Schultz, who is a clear TE1 after erupting for 140 yards on 12 receptions against the Bengals in Week 2.

Tank Dell – WR (knee)

Dell will begin the season on injured reserve.

Impact: Dell will miss the first four games of the regular season, at minimum. Expect Jaylin Noel to serve as the primary slot receiver while newcomer Kayshon Boutte starts on the perimeter opposite Nico Collins, for the time being.

Jayden Higgins – WR (knee)

Higgins saw his 2026 season taken from him due to a torn ACL suffered in camp.

Impact: It’s a massive blow to a Texans team that was counting on Higgins taking another step forward in his Sophomore campaign. The team traded for Kayshon Boutte in the wake of the injury.

◆ Indianapolis ColtsAlec Pierce – WR (heel)

Pierce aggravated the injury the required offseason surgery in Week 2. He is set to missed an extended period but is reportedly going to rehab the injury over electing for additional surgery.

Impact: Josh Downs should serve as the primary option through the air for as long as Pierce remains sidelined. The team signed veteran field-stretcher Darius Slayton in the wake of Pierce’s injury, although he is unlikely to return weekly fantasy production.

◆ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars emerged from their Week 2 loss to the Broncos absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

◆ Tennessee Titans

The Titans emerged from their Week 2 loss to the Eagles absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

🏈 AFC West◆ Denver BroncosRJ Harvey – RB (hamstring)

Harvey missed the team’s Week 2 win over the Jaguars.

Impact: Stashing rookie running back Jonah Coleman on fantasy football benches is prudent.

J.K. Dobbins – RB (hamstring)

Dobbins was unable to finish the team’s Week 2 win over the Jaguars with a hamstring injury. Tom Pelissero reported Monday that Dobbins’ hamstring is “good.”

Impact: It sounds like Dobbins avoided major injury but fantasy managers will want to track his practice status throughout the week. Coleman should not be on waiver wires.

Marvim Mims – WR (foot)

Mims did not practice on Wednesday. He was ruled out for Week 2 Saturday.

Impact: The boom-bust wide receiver remains a frustratingly volatile player. He is not worth rostering in 12-team leagues.

◆ Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs emerged from their Week 2 win over the Colts absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

◆ Las Vegas RaidersBrock Bowers – TE (knee)

Bowers will reportedly miss “a game or two” after undergoing a meniscus trim on Tuesday. He did not play in Week 2 but appears to have a good chance of suiting up against the Saints in Week 3. Head coach Klint Kubiak said he will practice this week.

Impact: Bowers will immediately re-enter the overall TE1 discussion in active in Week 3.

◆ Los Angeles ChargersCharlied Kolar – TE (forearm)

The team placed Kolar on injured reserve Monday.

Impact: The Chargers also lost tight end David Njoku to injured reserve, leaving only Oronde Gadsden as an available tight end on the roster. While they will certainly address depth in the coming days, Gadsden has all the runway in the world to re-enter the TE1 ranks and should be added in all formats.

David Njoku – TE (fibula)

Njoku is looking at an extended absence after being carted from the field in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Raiders.

Impact: See above.

🏈 NFC East◆ Dallas CowboysMalik Davis – RB (hip)

Davis was placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.

Impact: The Cowboys released both Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah at roster cuts and now have only Emari Demercado on the active roster behind starter Javonte Williams. Expect Israel Abanikanda to be elevated to the active roster from the practice squad for Week 2, while Williams appears likely to see all the work he can handle against the Commanders. Williams is a locked-in RB1 in Week 2.

◆ New York GiantsJaxson Dart – QB (knee)

Dart injured his MCL on the team’s first possession of Monday Night Football against the Rams. Initial reports suggested that he was expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprain. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that the injury is worse than initially thought and that the team is now considering season-ending surgery.

Impact: Backup Jameis Winston was largely unable to sustain drives following Dart’s departure. Dart’s absence has an adverse effect on all skill position players in New York, most notably Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely, and Cam Skattebo. We’ll know more regarding Dart’s expected timeline later this week.

Malik Nabers – WR (shoulder)

Nabers briefly departed the team’s Week 2 loss to the Rams with a shoulder injury.
Impact: Nabers has had shoulder issues dating back to his time in college, with the most recent scare likely a result of his choice to not address the issue via offseason surgery during the same time he had his ACL repaired. Time will tell if this becomes something more serious. Fantasy managers will likely be forced to continue to start Nabers, even with the recent injury concerns and with Winston under center. That doesn’t mean it’ll feel great.

◆ Philadelphia EaglesDallas Goedert – TE (knee)

Goedert reportedly suffered a sprained MCL in the team’s Week 2 win over the Titans. he is expected to miss multiple weeks.
Impact: With both Goedert and Stowers now out, the team signed veteran tight end Zach Ertz Monday. Ertz is likely to serve as the primary pass-catching option at the position, although volume appears more likely to concentrate on receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks.

Eli Stowers – TE (hamstring/quad)

The Eagles placed Stowers on injured reserve.

Impact: Stowers appears unlikely to have a meaningful role in the offense during his rookie season.

◆ Washington CommandersChig Okonkwo – TE (hamstring)

Okonkwo was unable to finish the team’s Week 1 loss to the Eagles. Head coach Dan Quinn did not have an update on his injury on Monday. Okonkwo did not practice on Wednesday. He was ruled out for Week 2 Saturday.

Impact: Okonkwo’s absence could lead to additional 11-personnel, which raises the weekly floor and ceiling of talented rookie wide receiver Antonio Williams. Consider Williams a priority waiver addition in Week 1’s waiver run.

Jayden Daniels – QB (elbow)

Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 2, the same injury he suffered a season ago. He is expected to miss significant time. Daniels is reportedly set to consult numerous experts Tuesday.
Impact: Marcus Mariota will enter the starting lineup for the team’s Week 3 game against the Seahawks, against whom he will be a difficult start in fantasy. Managers in a bind at the position can add Mariota and hold him for easier starts against the Colts and Giants in the coming weeks.

🏈 NFC North◆ Chicago BearsCaleb Williams – QB (hamstring)

Williams suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Vikings. Head coach Ben Johnson labeled him week-to-week Monday.

Impact: Tyson Bagent came on in relief of the injured Williams but reportedly suffered a concussion that placed him the protocol Tuesday. That could leave Case Keenum as the starter under center when the Bears face the Eagles on Monday Night Football. That said, the additional day of preparation also could give Bagent enough time to clear concussion protocol. Stay tuned.

◆ Detroit LionsIsiah Pacheco – RB (back)

Pacheco was placed on injured reserve to start the season. General Manager Brad Holmes said he “hopes Pacheco returns this season.”

Impact: Well, that doesn’t sound great. There appears to be something more insidious going on with Pacheco’s back than initially thought. Lions coach Dan Campbell said running backs Jacob Saylors and Sione Vaki could split touches behind Jahmyr Gibbs. Saylors appears to be the first player up. Gibbs handled an absurd 34 opportunities, of 37 total running back opportunities, in the team’s Week 1, overtime win over the Saints.

◆ Green Bay PackersJosh Jacobs – RB (commissioner exempt list)

Jacobs was placed on the commissioner exempt list amidst troubling domestic violence allegations. His initial court date was recently moved up from November to September 10. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Jacobs “could be looking at a 4-6 game suspension” after activated from the exempt list.

Impact: The commissioner exempt list brings a wide range of outcomes regarding how many games we expect Jacobs to miss this season. That said, the fact that his initial court appearance was moved up near the start of the regular season could allow the league additional motivation to levy a suspension, pending the outcome of his appearance. Either way, don’t expect Jacobs on the field any time soon, leaving MarShawn Lloyd as the lead back in the interim.

Jayden Reed – WR (back)

Reed suffered a scary-looking back injury that required stabilization in the team’s Week 2 win over the Jets. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday that the team was still gathering information about the injury and his expected timeline to recover.
Impact: Beyond the football implications, it is good to hear Reed avoided any life-altering injuries in Week 2. Reed appears to be headed for an extended absence for a team already extremely thin at wide receiver. Skyy Moore and Bo Melton are likely to soak up addition snaps, although volume is most likely to concentrate on Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Kraft.

◆ Minnesota VikingsKyler Murray – QB (concussion)

Murray did not play in Week 2 after suffering a concussion the week prior. He has reportedly cleared protocol and is in line to start against the Buccaneers in Week 3.

Impact: Murray’s second take at an audition for a new contract begins against the Buccaneers, where he will be a back-end QB1.

Jordan Mason – RB (thumb)The Vikings placed Mason on injured reserve in Week 2.

Impact: The Vikings are on bye in Week 6, so Mason will be eligible to return in Week 7. Starting running back Aaron Jones gets a deserved projections boost with Mason sidelined. Veteran RB DeeJay Dallas operated as the RB3. Rookie RB Demond Claiborne can be stashed on benches.

The Falcons emerged from their Week 2 blowout loss to the Panthers absent any fantasy-relevant injuries. The team named Michael Penix the starting quarterback ahead of Thursday Night Football.

◆ Carolina PanthersJonathan Brooks – RB (groin)

Brooks aggravated the groin injury that forced him to miss the end of camp. The team is reportedly still gathering information to gauge the length of an expected absence.

Impact: Chuba Hubbard enters the volume-driven RB1 discussion in the absence of Brooks.

◆ New Orleans SaintsJordyn Tyson – WR (hamstring)

Tyson begins the regular season on injured reserve. He will miss the first four games of the season, at minimum.

Impact: Devaughn Vele should begin the season in the starting lineup opposite Chris Olave, with both players routinely used in the slot. Olave’s weekly range of outcomes rivals almost any receiver in the league for as long as Tyson remains out, while tight end Juwan Johnson should return weekly TE1 finishes.

◆ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers emerged from their Week 2 loss to the Browns absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

🏈 NFC West◆ Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals emerged from their Week 2 loss to the Seahawks absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.

◆ Los Angeles RamsPuke Nacua – WR (groin)

Nacua did not play in the team’s Week 2 win over the Giants. Head coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that he wasn’t sure if he would be able to play in Week 3.

Impact: Veteran Davante Adams went absolutely nuclear as the primary option through the air, amassing a ridiculous 195 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions in the absence of Nacua. Adams would remain a top-tier WR1 should Nacua miss more time. Furthermore, second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson had his best game as a professional against the Giants and could be started as an upside TE2.

◆ San Francisco 49ersDemarcus Robinson – WR (ankle)

Robinson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team’s Week 2 win over the Dolphins. He will miss significant time.

Impact: Reports suggest Jacob Cowing will be leaned on to fill the void left behind by the injuries to Robinson and De’Zhaun Stribling. Expect Mike Evans, assuming health, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle to soak up additional volume.

Mike Evans – WR (hip)

Evans was unable to finish the team’s Week2 win over the Dolphins with a hip injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Evans will “have to be managed this week” as the team prepares to face the Cardinals.
Impact: It sounds as if Evans’ injury is not overly seriously, although fantasy managers will want to track his status closely this week.

De’Zhaun Stribling – WR (ankle)

Stribling suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 1 win over the Rams. The 49ers placed him on injured reserve in Week 2 after he underwent surgery to repair a deltoid ligament tear. He is expected to return in 10 weeks.

Impact: The Athletic’s Matt Barrows believes Demarcus Robinson will be the primary beneficiary.

Ricky Pearsall – WR (knee)

Pearsall was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Impact: Pearsall will miss the entirety of the 2026 season.

◆ Seattle SeahawksZach Charbonnet – RB (knee)

Charbonnet will begin the season on the physically unable to perform list, although the team remains optimistic he will be able to beat his initial recovery timeline.

Impact: Rookie Jadarian Price is poised to begin the season as the primary back in Seattle, with George Holani on hand to soak up change-of-pace reps. The team appears content to keep the situation fluid and without a true workhorse, similar to the way they handled Kenneth Walker and Charbonnet last season. Even so, Price is positioned well to return value weekly for fantasy drafters who invested a sixth-round pick in his services this offseason.

Jadarian Price – RB (Shoulder)

Price suffered a shoulder injury in the team’s Week 2 win over the Cardinals that head coach Mike MacDonald deemed “nothing serious.”
Impact: Price appears unlikely to miss any time, although fantasy managers will want to monitor his practice status throughout the week.

Sam Darnold – QB (hip)

Darnold reportedly suffered an “unusual muscle strain” in the team’s Week 1 win over the Patriots. He is reportedly set to practice this week after missing Week 2.

Impact: Darnold could return after missing only one game, in a spot against the Commanders in which he will be an upside QB2, if active.
