On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at approximately 6:33 a.m., firefighters responded to the United Metro Golf Cart located at 15212 Crain Highway in Brandywine, for the building alarm.
While responding, the incident was upgraded to a structure fire with additional callers reporting fire showing.
Crews arrived on the scene to find more than 30 golf carts on fire and actively spreading to more golf carts and a nearby office.
Additional firefighters and water tankers were requested, which brought more then 30 firefighters from Prince George’s County and Charles County to the scene.
Firefighters worked for over an hour to extinguish the flames which ultimately damaged more than 160 carts and extended to an additional vehicle and office trailer on the scene. Fire Investigators remain on scene working to determine origin and cause of fire.
No injuries were reported.
