Caitlin Clark’s 2026 statistics suggest she was an obvious candidate for Comeback Player of the Year. The key point is that she spent most of last season on the sidelines, missing 31 games compared with just four of 44 games in 2026.
Clark’s efficiency also improved significantly this year after she shot just 36.7 percent from the field in 2025. She shot 44.5 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from three-point range in 2026, both career highs.
The Indiana Fever superstar also averaged 22.3 points per game, which is 5.8 more than the previous season. Clark was the third-highest scorer in the WNBA, behind only A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Mitchell.
