GREENVILLE, N.C. – The High Point University men’s golf team traveled east to Greenville, North Carolina for the Ironwood Collegiate Classic hosted by East Carolina University on Monday and Tuesday. After competing in three rounds, the Panthers placed tied for third overall with a 3-under-par 861 score for the team’s second highest placement this season.

“Another solid week for the team!” Head Coach Logan Davis exclaimed. “We are using our momentum from each event to build on the previous week. Each player has been working extremely hard on their game and it’s showing in our events. Three top five finishes in a row for Jace and two of the three events for James is amazing to see along with another top three finish for the team. The course was playing difficult this week and everyone was discipline to our game plan. It was also nice to compete against some fellow conference teams this early in the season. We are looking forward to Maryland next week and are using the momentum from this week to lead into the next!”
