WEST CHICAGO, Ill. — North Park men’s golf delivered its best team round of the season on Tuesday, carding a 293 to tie for second place among 21 teams at the Eagles Fall Invite on the course of St. Andrews Golf and Country Club.
Lucan Meade and Felix Pettersson led the Vikings with matching even-par rounds of 72, tying for sixth in the 114-player field. Pettersson totaled six birdies, including four on the front nine, while Meade offset four bogeys with four birdies.
Oliver Parkner finished one stroke behind the North Park leaders, shooting a 1-over 73 to tie for 10th. Parkner surged through the opening nine with a 3-under 33, highlighted by four consecutive birdies on holes five through eight.
Jack Groves supplied North Park’s fourth counting score with a 4-over 76, placing in a tie for 24th. Maximilian Domen rounded out the Vikings’ lineup with an 80.
The 293 marked North Park’s lowest team score of the season and positioned the Vikings alongside one other program in second place in the 21-team field.
