Liam Hendriks has announced his retirement.
In 14 Major League seasons with six teams, Hendriks made 490 appearances, was a 3-time All-Star, and a 2-time winner of the Mariano Rivera Reliever of the Year award.
Perhaps his greatest achievement was his inspirational comeback from non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Hendriks was a pillar of the community in every city he played and was nominated for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award seven times.
