CARRINGTON, N.D. (KFYR) – Des Lacs-Burlington senior Laila Christianson capped off her high school golf career with a comeback effort on Wednesday to earn her third consecutive Class B individual golf state championship.
Christianson had a two-day score of 140, which was four under par at CrossRoads Golf Club in Carrington. Her final round featured three birdies and 15 pars to seal the win.
Christianson is the third consecutive Class B girls golfer to win three or more consecutive championships, joining Kindred’s Avery Bartels and South Border’s Emily St. Aubin.
Kindred won the team title after shooting a Class B single-round record of 301 on Tuesday. The Vikings followed that up with a 307 in the final round to win their first state title since 2021.
