Ian Scanlon birdied Nos. 1 and 4 and shot a 1-over 34 to lead Mid Valley to a 140-150 victory over Holy Cross on Wednesday in the Lackawanna League Class 2A boys golf quarterfinals at Scott Greens.

Connor Perna, who birdied the fourth and ninth holes, and Lucas Zuraski, who birdied the second hole, each shot a 35 and Aaron Merrifield birdied two and shot a 36 for the Spartans.

Pete Boles birdied eight and shot a 36, Josh Toolan birdied the seventh hole and Joe Yusinski and Jackson Bohanski each birdied the third hole for the Crusaders.

Western Wayne 142, Riverside 154: At Red Maples, Max Graci shot an even-par 33 to lead the Wildcats to a victory over the Vikings in the Lackawanna League Class 2A quarterfinals.

Archer Long shot a 35, and Noah Benson and Damian Glackin each shot a 37 for Western Wayne.

Jake O’Brien led Riverside with a 36.

Chase Rosenkrans, who birdied the eighth hole, and Mikey Pisarcik each shot a 35, and Aiden Babarsky and Evan Robbins each shot a 38 for Lakeland.

Coe Masters birdied the second, third and fifth holes and shot a 3-under 30 to earn medalist, and Corey Trichilo birdied the fifth hole and shot a 39 for Mountain View.
