Lee Watson, who runs Spartek, a solar installation company, has secured a 10-year sponsorship deal with East Harling Football Club.

The agreement will see work immediately start on the new Spartek Stadium, incorporating a new 64-seat stand, dugout improvements and pitch-side sponsorship boards.

Mr Watson said: “It is my absolute pleasure and honour to announce that a 10-year sponsorship agreement has been struck between Spartek & East Harling Football Club.

“The stand will be named ‘The Charlie Watson Stand’ after my father, who had deep-rooted ties to the club, for which myself, my family and so many others have so many happy, cherished memories.

“A commemorative plaque will be positioned at the centre of the stand in his loving memory.”

Mr Watson is also known for running the Watton Hot Baguette shop.

It will be serving food at this Saturday’s match, the first time the stand will be in use.
