MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine men’s basketball and head coach Griff Aldrich have announced the 2026-27 non-conference schedule, featuring 16 contests and the program’s first games inside The Mountain at Mullin Park.

The Waves will play eight non-conference games in Malibu, while making road trips to Cornell, Sam Houston, Oregon, Abilene Christian, Sacramento State, Montana and LMU. The slate features matchups against opponents from 12 different Division I conferences.

Pepperdine opens the campaign on the road Monday, Nov. 2, traveling across the country to take on Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. The Waves then return to Malibu for their first home contest of the season, welcoming La Sierra to Firestone Fieldhouse on Thursday, Nov. 5, before hosting Bethesda on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The Waves will hit the road to take on Sam Houston next on Wednesday, Nov. 11, followed by a trip to Eugene, Ore., to face Oregon on Sunday, Nov. 15. 

Pepperdine will then return to Malibu for a three-game homestand. The Waves will host UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, Nov. 19, UNC Greensboro on Monday, Nov. 23 and Cal State Bakersfield on Wednesday, Nov. 25. The Nov. 25 tilt with the Roadrunners will mark the final game in Firestone Fieldhouse for the program, marking the end of a 53-year run as the home of Pepperdine basketball.

Pepperdine will close out November with a neutral-site matchup against Lehigh on Saturday, Nov. 28 in Thousand Oaks, Calif., as part of the Gratitude Thanksgiving Classic at Cal Lutheran. The Waves will then travel to Abilene Christian on Tuesday, Dec. 1, completing a home-and-home with the Wildcats.

The Waves will then make history on Saturday, Dec. 5, hosting Florida Gulf Coast in the first game or event at The Mountain at Mullin Park. The new state-of-the-art, 3,600-seat arena will serve as the new home of Pepperdine basketball, ushering in a new era for the program and the gameday experience in Malibu.

Pepperdine remains at The Mountain to welcome Prairie View A&M on Wednesday, Dec. 9 before hitting the road for consecutive contests at Sacramento State on Sunday, Dec. 13 and Montana on Friday, Dec. 18.

The Waves return to Malibu to host Quinnipiac on Monday, Dec. 21, in their final home non-conference contest. Pepperdine then makes the short trip to LMU for a non-conference tilt with the Lions on Tuesday, Dec. 29, to close out non-conference action and the 2026 calendar year.

Pepperdine’s matchups with Cornell, La Sierra, Bethesda, Sam Houston, UNC Greensboro, FGCU, Prairie View A&M and Quinnipiac will mark the first-ever meetings with each program.

Pepperdine men’s basketball has made 13 NCAA postseason appearances while earning 12 WCC Regular-Season Championships and three WCC Tournament Championships in its history. This success has spanned multiple decades, with the Waves most recently winning the 2021 CBI Tournament. The program has also seen 19 All-Americans along with 19 NBA players, which included a streak of 34 consecutive seasons with at least one alum on an NBA roster from 1976-2011.
