Brentford has teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to bring you hints, tips and advice throughout the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.Scout will use its expertise to provide information, advice and Gameweek tips that could help you stay on top of your mini-leagues.
For many managers, the difference between winning a mini-league and finishing second can come down to investing in the right differentials.
Differentials are players owned by fewer than 10 per cent of FPL managers.
They can be particularly valuable as their points can have a greater impact on your rank, helping separate your team from those around you.
Here are three Brentford differentials to consider after the international break.
Igor Thiago (£7.8m)
Igor Thiago scored his first league goal of the season against Chelsea in Gameweek 5 and looks to be finding the form that saw him become one of the most popular assets in FPL last season.
Across the opening five matches, Thiago has registered 3.13 expected goals (xG), 2.13 higher than his actual tally of one goal.
Thiago has had a joint-team-high 13 shots this season, 12 of which have come from inside the box, while five have been classified as Opta-defined big chances. The forward has also supplied two crosses and created two chances for his team-mates.
Last season, Thiago was second only to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£15.6m) for goals (22), shots inside the box (80), attempts on target (43) and Opta-defined big chances (41).
In fact, Thiago’s latest three full campaigns, excluding his injury-hit 2024/25 season, have produced 74 goals in all competitions.
Thiago is currently owned by only 9.1 per cent of FPL managers, making him an intriguing differential ahead of Brentford’s upcoming fixtures.
Michael Kayode (£4.6m)
Upcoming clashes with Aston Villa (a), Liverpool (h), Hull City (a) and Nottingham Forest (h) could also prove profitable for Michael Kayode.
Mentioned in last week’s look at Brentford’s top-scoring FPL players, Monday night saw the right-back score on his senior Italy debut in a 4-1 Nations League win over Turkey.
This season, Kayode has registered 23 points courtesy of one goal and two clean sheets. He has also created two chances and supplied seven crosses, as well as registering six attempts on goal.
Kayode is currently owned by just 7.6 per cent of FPL managers.
Jannik Schuster (£4.5m)
Sticking with the Bees’ backline, Jannik Schuster is the only FPL player with at least three appearances to have earned the additional two defensive contribution points in every outing this season.
Remarkably, one of those returns came in a substitute appearance.
Defenders need to register 10 defensive contributions, made up of clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles, in a single match to earn the additional two points. Across his three Premier League appearances, Schuster has registered 10, 12 and 16 defensive contributions.
The defender also collected maximum bonus in Gameweek 5 against Chelsea, returning 14 points thanks to a clean sheet, an assist, defensive contribution points and three bonus points.
Schuster is currently owned by only 0.3 per cent of FPL managers.
