CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) – The wife of the late NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch posted on social media a celebration of life event for the driver that will happen next week in the Charlotte region.
On Friday, Oct. 2, Samantha Busch posted on Instagram inviting all NASCAR fans to Kyle Busch’s Celebration of Life on Friday, Oct. 9. The event will be free to attend and will take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway at 8 p.m. following the truck race, Samantha Busch said.
“I wanted to personally invite you to Kyle’s Celebration of Life on October 9 at 8 p.m., following the truck race,” Samantha Busch said in a post. “I really just want this night where the entire NASCAR community can come together to celebrate Kyle, his life, and the legacy he leaves behind in the sport we built our lives around.”
Samantha Busch said 10 of his most famous cars out there and speakers from drivers and owners throughout NASCAR will be there.
In addition Samantha Busch said that her and her kids have something so they could always have a little piece of Kyle Busch with them.
Charlotte Motor Speedway said in a post on Instagram Kurt Busch, Samantha Busch and Joe Gibbs will be some of the speakers. There also be a drone show and a post musical performance.

Busch’s family — along with NASCAR and his team Richard Childress Racing confirmed Kyle Busch died unexpectedly from sepsis on May, 21.
Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle Busch,” a joint statement from the Busch family, NASCAR, and the team read. “A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation. He was fierce, he was passionate, he was immensely skilled and he cared deeply about the sport and fans.”

The AP reported that Busch was testing in Chevrolet’s racing simulator in Concord on Wednesday, May 20, when he became unresponsive. He was reportedly then taken to a hospital in Charlotte.
