The Indiana Fever are out of the 2026 WNBA postseason, but Sophie Cunningham still has a lot to say about her team’s exit.

Cunningham, Caitlin Clark and the Fever were bounced by the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the playoffs. However, the Indiana star is adding fuel to the fire again regarding A’ja Wilson’s Game 2 moment with a Fever fan.

During the latter stages of the game, the four-time league MVP encountered an Indiana fan who pointed at her. The two exchanged some words before the Fever went on to win the matchup.

Wilson wasn’t suspended for her actions, and the fan was allowed to remain at the arena for the rest of the game. Las Vegas eventually won the series with a Game 3 close-out, but Cunningham went viral after mocking Wilson prior to the final matchup.

Cunningham recently unveiled her new podcast project, No Hesitation with Sophie Cunningam & Drew Hanlen. The WNBA star joined Colin Cowherd’s The Volume network last month after being in the podcast game for some time.

Her latest episode went in on the Wilson experience, though. More specifically, she spoke as to why the WNBA opted to not suspend the Aces standout.

“She’s like the LeBron James of our league and so of course they’re not going to suspend her,” Cunningham said on her October 3 episode. “I definitely think there’s a double standard … We wanted her to play, I think that makes for good basketball.”

Cunningham’s never one to mince words when delivering controversial takes. She did state that she’s glad Wilson played in Game 3 because it would’ve created more backlash.

However, it’s clear that she felt the league should’ve intervened based on Wilson’s crowd interaction with the Fever supporter. Cunningham also took a shot at Wilson, telling her to “grow up” after approaching the fan.

“Grow up… What are we doing?” Cunningham said while throwing shade at the three-time WNBA champion.

With the Fever eliminated from the postseason, it’s unclear what will come next for Cunningham. The 30-year-old is out of contract with Indiana and needs to sign a new deal this offseason in order to remain in Indy.
