Training camps are open and the NBA’s 2026-27 season is getting started after a busy offseason that sent a surprising number of stars to new teams. The all-new power rankings point to a league that has changed fast with contenders, rebuilds, and a lot of new faces across the board. The Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers, and Milwaukee Bucks all made major shifts, moving stars like Ja Morant, Kawhi Leonard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Memphis added Cam Boozer and Kareem Lopez, while the Clippers and Bucks face different kinds of pressure after changing direction. Other teams are trying to build around young talent, including the Washington Wizards with AJ Debanza, the Chicago Bulls with Caleb Wilson, and the Dallas Mavericks with Cooper Flag. The Utah Jazz Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, and Charlotte Hornets also made notable moves. While the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder enter the season with championship-level expectations or major questions. At the top, the New York Knicks are coming off their first championship since 1973, while the Spurs and Thunder are again seen as powers after big seasons.
