LEXINGTON, Ky. — Fresh off earning national votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, the Memphis men’s golf team travels to Lexington, Kentucky, for the Cullan Brown Invitational at Lexington Country Club beginning Monday, Oct. 5.
Memphis received 11 votes in the Sept. 25 coaches poll following a pair of top-five finishes to open the fall season. The total marks the program’s highest vote tally since at least 2005 and its first appearance receiving votes in the national poll since 2015.
The Tigers return to the Cullan Brown Invitational for the second consecutive year after making their event debut last season with a seventh-place finish.
Hosted by the University of Kentucky, the two-day, 54-hole event features 36 holes on Monday followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Memphis enters the week after placing fourth at the Bearcat Invitational with a 7-under-par 845. Yixiang Wang paced the Tigers by taking third place at 8-under 205, while Diego Lourenco tied for 14th at 1-under 212.
In individual play, Christian Morneau finished as the runner-up at the Rhodes Fall Invitational with a 5-under 211
