NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A big home win Saturday night in Death Valley gave the LSU Tigers back 10th place in the national college football rankings.
The Tigers rebounded from a painful upset loss with an impressive 35-6 rout of Texas A&M on Sept. 27. However, the team slipped from 10th to 11th place in the poll despite the big win.
On Oct. 3, LSU scored nine touchdowns in a major win against McNeese, with the Tigers pulling a 63-14 rout.
With the win, Coach Lane Kiffin’s team got its No. 10 ranking back in the new Associated Press Top 25 poll released Sunday (Oct. 4).
Texas (4-0) maintained its hold on the No. 1 ranking.
LSU will face the Kentucky Wildcats on Oct. 10.
