Follow us on Google Discover Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese hosted a dinner for her WNBA Finals-bound teammates in New York City days before Game 1 against the Golden State Valkyries.
The Dream will play their fourth WNBA Finals series in franchise history and their first since last losing in 2013. They are still hunting for their first Championship, and hope that 2026 is the year they win it.
Even without a championship in their hands, Angel Reese chose to celebrate the team’s return to the Finals after 13 years by taking all her teammates out for a lavish night in New York City before Game 1 on October 17.
Angel Reese’s dinner details with the Atlanta Dream emerge
According to Page Six, Reese took her teammates out to the Sei Less restaurant in New York City on Friday night (October 9). This was to celebrate after they eliminated the New York Liberty, eight days before Game 1 of the WNBA Finals would be played.
“After sweeping the Liberty at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday night, Reese took her fellow Dream players out to Sei Less restaurant to celebrate advancing to the WNBA Finals, Page Six was exclusively told.”
“The forward, 24, spared no expense as she rented out the entire private room, where she and her teammates blasted music, sang and danced the night away. The Dream players dined on king crab legs, lobster spoons, oxtail spring rolls, chicken satay, short rib, shrimp dumplings and much more.”
“The Sei Less restaurant owners kept the spot open late for the women as they celebrated their huge win late into the night. Page Six was told that the ladies were spotted leaving the venue around 3:30 a.m. ET.”
Reese is averaging 18.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.2 blocks in the 2026 Playoffs, playing a crucial frontcourt role for the Dream as the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is four wins away from her first WNBA Championship at just 24 years old.
While many would call the celebration premature as the Dream still have another series to win, it’s Reese’s first season with the Dream, and they took down modern titans in the form of the Liberty by sweeping them 3-0, so a celebration was warranted.

It’ll be harder to take the Valkyries down, but a morale and chemistry-boosting gathering like the one Reese hosted can only help the Dream become more cohesive on the court.
