FRISCO — FC Dallas kept its Western Conference winning hopes alive with a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders on Wednesday night, its first regular-season home win against Seattle since 2022.

The win marked Dallas’ 14th regular season victory, its most since 2022. Dallas also extended its undefeated record at Toyota Stadium to five consecutive league matches.

“It was a battle,” said head coach Eric Quill. “I just told the guys, the last 20 minutes is what I’m most proud of. You can just see when the legs are chewed away, and the minds are gone, they’re still giving everything: Diving around, giving their bodies up, and blocking shots.”

The Brazilian made two big saves in the first 20 minutes, denying Dejan Joveljić and Jackson Ragen. Daniel’s busy first half didn’t stop there, being called into action in the 28th minute to once again keep out Joveljić with another impressive stop.

Star striker Petar Musa nearly gave Dallas the lead in the 45th minute with a great chance, but his scissor-kick attempt from Ran Binyamin’s cross went wide. Dallas went into halftime scoreless with Seattle, largely thanks to Daniel’s five first-half saves.

With Dallas looking dull offensively, it took a moment of individual brilliance from Kaick Ferreira to give the home team the lead in the 63rd minute. From a corner kick, Osaze Urhoghide flicked the ball to Ferreira, who volleyed it into the top right corner for his fourth goal of the season.

Dallas held on to record its seventh clean sheet of the season, and Daniel finished with a season-high seven saves en route to his seventh shutout of 2026.

“(Daniel) kept us in the game,” said defender Sebastian Ibeagha. “This is probably one of his better games. He showed up for us when we needed him the most, and luckily we were able to get the goal and three points — he kind of carried us to that.”

Up next, Dallas will travel south to face the Houston Dynamo in the 58th edition of the Texas Derby on Saturday night.

“I love our guys because we bounced back,” Quill said. “They’ve been giving their hearts all year long; they’re deserving of those results, they deserve where they stand in the table, and there’s ambition here.”
