ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men’s tennis team will compete at two events this week. Four Mavericks head to Nashville, Tenn., for the ASUN Individual Tournament, Thursday, Oct. 22, through Saturday, Oct. 24. The other four travel to Waco, Texas, for the Baylor Invite, Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 25.
ASUN Individual Tournament Scores
Juniors Filip Avdeev and Finbar McGarvey, sophomore Filip Paroulek and freshman Seifeldeen Abdelkader will represent UTA in Nashville. Sophomores Bautista Durrel Rojas and Novak Ivanovic, junior Christopher Bennett Wirahadipoernomo and senior Leon Grassnickel make up the group heading to the Baylor Invite.
The Mavericks come in off the Ralph O’Connor Invitational in Houston, where three UTA pairings finished in the top eight of their draws. Durrel Rojas and Ivanovic took fourth in the C Draw. Avdeev and Abdelkader finished eighth in the A Draw. Bennett Wirahadipoernomo also competed in the C Draw, teaming with Lamar’s Shukuda to take fifth.
