Box Score MONMOUTH, Ore.–Kyra DiBenedetto had two goals and Kate Seibert added two assists as Western Oregon cruised past Central Washington on Saturday night under the lights at the WOU Soccer Field, 3-1.
That’s back-to-back wins for the Wolves as they improved to 4-8-4 overall and to 3-6-3 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play. Western also completed the season sweep over the Wildcats, whom they also beat last month in Ellensburg, 3-2. CWU is now 5-8-4 on the year and 5-5-2 in GNAC action.
DiBenedetto got her team the lead early with a score at 6:41, off a pass from Seibert. Leiloa Fesolai made it 2-0 before halftime, using passes from Seibert and Kylie Jones to give WOU a comfortable lead after the first 45 minutes of play.
After the break, it didn’t take DiBenedetto and the Wolves long to add to their margin. After a CWU foul, DiBenedetto knocked home a penalty kick to make it 3-0 to virtually seal the win.
Central Washington avoided the shutout with a late goal with just over two minutes to play (87:43) for the final 3-1 scoreboard.
WOU goalkeeper Ayanah Soon didn’t give up a goal in 76 minutes of play and had nine saves. That total equals her best tally of the season, also against CWU this year.
It was Benedetto’s fourth and fifth goals of the season, which now leads the Wolves. Seibert collected her four and fifth assists of the year, also a team best.
That was the final home game of the year, making for a very festive Senior Night for Western’s three seniors–Jones, DiBenedetto and Tamerra Cervantes Carlos. WOU will wrap up the 2026 season on the road at St. Martin’s (Thursday) and Montana State Billings on Saturday.
