The Keiser men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Vero Beach on Saturday, Oct. 24, for the Vero Club Tennis – Keiser Seahawks Pro-Am Fundraiser.
Hosted by Vero Club Tennis, the event featured 28 participants, with student-athletes from the Seahawks’ men’s and women’s programs paired with club members for a day of friendly competition. The event raised over $12,000 for the Keiser men’s and women’s tennis programs.
“What an amazing event,” Keiser Director of Tennis/Head Women’s Tennis Coach Daniel Finn said. “A special thank you to Kaye Manly and Yohann Prinsen at Vero Club Tennis for having our teams out today and putting on such a special event to help support our programs. Our players had a great time playing with the members at their beautiful facility. Kaye and Yohann have really built something special there.”
“It turned out to be a beautiful day,” Vero Club Tennis Owner Kaye Manly said. “The kids were fabulous, beautifully behaved, grateful, hard-working, fun-loving tennis players. Our members loved being able to play with them. I think it was everything we could have ever hoped for, and we’d love to do it again next year.”
“Everything we hoped for happened today,” Vero Club Tennis Director of Tennis Yohann Prinsen said. “Keiser came together with our members, and everybody had a blast. Everybody was very supportive of each other. It was a fun day, and I think we raised a good amount of money for everybody.”
“We are so grateful for the generous gift given by the club today,” Finn added. “It will go far in helping ensure our student-athletes continue to have championship experiences here at Keiser. We look forward to continuing to work with Vero Club Tennis on more events in the future.”
