At 16 years, 2 months, and 27 days old, Tristan McKee became the youngest polesitter in the history of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as he claimed the pole position for Friday night’s Black’s Tire 200 at Martinsville Speedway.

The driver of the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado turned a fast lap of 19.549 seconds, which allowed him to pace Layne Riggs, a championship contender, by 0.018 seconds.

Chandler Smith will start third ahead of Ben Rhodes, and Kaden Honeycutt, the series point leader heading into the weekend.
