JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Even though there wasn’t any school on Tuesday, that didn’t keep Campbell High Tennis Coach Rusty Fields from being on campus. He just couldn’t resist taking a look at the progress during day two in the construction of first-ever tennis courts for the Cougars and Lady Cougars.

Above, Ronnie Trent sizes up the field on Tuesday morning and then makes his marks.

“They’re still saying that this could be finished by the end of the month; if the weather holds,” said Coach Fields.

Above, ground was officially broken around 8am Tuesday.

On Monday, the field, once a practice field for football and band, was sized up by Ronnie Trent and his crew out of Jefferson City. Trent’s company is handling the prep ahead of Baseline coming in to finish everything. “We did the prep on all of the Knox County high school football fields a few years ago when they went with artificial turf,” said Trent.
