According to a joint DGSN-DGST statement, the talks focused on strengthening security cooperation between Morocco and Qatar. Both sides praised the strength of bilateral relations and their intelligence cooperation in counterterrorism.

They described this cooperation, rooted in the longstanding ties between the two countries, as a cornerstone of regional security and stability. They stressed the need to build on it through exchanges of expertise, operational coordination and joint training, while expanding cooperation to cover different forms of organized crime, including financial crime and cybercrime.

The Qatari delegation expressed its willingness to share its experience in organizing major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup. It also pledged to provide Moroccan security services with the support needed to help ensure the success of the 2030 World Cup.

The two sides also reviewed the security situation amid complex regional and international challenges and tensions. They emphasized the importance of strengthening preventive cooperation to counter shared threats, particularly terrorism, extremism and organized crime, which exploit instability.

The statement said the talks reflected the DGSN-DGST’s commitment to strengthening security and intelligence partnerships with friendly countries and expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation. It described such cooperation as the most effective means of addressing growing security threats through a shared approach.
