MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men’s tennis team will send Birtan Duran, Clement and Antoine Mayoral to the ITA Conference Masters Championship in Rome, Ga., while Aryan Saleh heads to the ITA DI Men’s South Sectional Championship in Tallahassee, Fla. Both events will run between Thursday and Sunday, providing an avenue for top finishers to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.

Duran, the reigning Conference USA Newcomer of the Year and All-Conference USA Singles Second Team honoree, will represent CUSA at the third ITA Conference Masters Championship, to be played at the Rome Tennis Center. His opening match of the tournament will see him face Ball State’s Andrei Caragea at 8 a.m. on Thursday as he looks to improve upon MTSU’s showing last year, when Karim Al-Amin fell in the second round.

The Mayorals will represent Conference USA in doubles play, chosen for their strong performances during the fall slate, including a quarterfinal appearance at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships. The French brothers will have a large reputation to uphold, as Blue Raiders Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak won the entire tournament in 2025. MTSU’s title defense begins against No. 86 Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Saleh qualified for ITA Sectionals after his semifinal run at the Ohio Valley Regionals, including a victory over No. 53 Jack Loutit in the quarterfinals, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4. He begins his tournament against Indiana’s Sam Landau on Thursday at 9 a.m. at Florida State’s Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.

Through the Conference Masters Championships, the top four singles players from the 64-player field will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists) and two doubles teams out of the 31-team field will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship (champion and finalists).

From the ITA Sectional Championships, the top 24 singles players out of 32 will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship.
