NBA’s Sacramento Kings have a new “victory beam” inspired by the Big A’s Halo.

Saw this on the NBA subreddit and thought it would be cool to share here. Here’s an excerpt from the Kings’ website.
“The new “Kings Victory Beam” was announced and debuted on 916 Day as a way for the team to increase fan engagement and further deepen its connection with the city.
Although the first thing that might come to mind is the Bat Signal, the “Kings Victory Beam” was inspired by the MLB’s Los Angeles Angels, who historically activate a halo in the sky following a win. “
> In addition, a Kings personality will have the honor of activating the beam after every home game.
That would be pretty cool if we did something like that
And here I thought pointing multiple high wattage lasers into the sky was pretty high up on the list of “things that will get you in trouble with the FAA”.
