Someone explain to me again why we couldn’t have just changed our name to Hogs?

  2. Honestly when I saw people complaining about the boy I was kinda annoyed. Like by FAR the most competent facet of the rebrand. Every single uni we have has levels of problems with them and the name obviously stinks. Tuddy is a good dawg.

  4. I hate that for a team name. I don’t like commanders but I rather have that name than the Hogs.

  6. i am a Tuddy fan. It’s one of the best things to come out of the Snyder era, along with extending Terry. 20 years of crap still there though, but Tuddy is ok.

  7. I think the reason they didn’t go for Hogs or Redhogs was the belief that it would most likely involve a lawsuit. The original Hogs formed *”O-Line Entertainment LLC”* a while ago and had already started the process of getting the trademark for the name ‘Hogs’. And my understanding is those guys absolutely hate Snyder(as all good people should).

  9. Tuddy is the man. A marketing icon which the people lapped up. I witnessed hordes of grown men line up to have a picture with him during his browns debut. They were snatching up everything Tuddy related. Tuddy cups, Tuddy towels even the Tuddy t shirts!

    Tuddy sucks. And the rest of you should feel bad for liking him.

  13. They understood the assignment better and still couldn’t get it right. This entire rebrand has been a complete failure and I can’t wait for the new owner to undo this garbage

  17. As an older fan and actually seeing The Hogs come to life there isn’t a single player on the OL on our current roster who holds a candle to the original Hogs and I wouldn’t even refer to them as The Hogs anymore.

  19. Besides the Eagles game, Major Tuddy was the biggest win last year. I’m glad they didn’t fuck that up.

  21. Watching that video those people seem to take themselves way to seriously. Like the mascot was a lay up and you didn’t miss. Congrats.

  22. In a vacuum Tuddy isn’t terrible. But what makes him terrible is the context of his arrival: the other botched parts of the rebrand and the timing of his unveiling with dropping out of playoff contention.

  23. Tuddy’s uniform is legit. Why couldn’t we roll with that?

    Name will not change – way to expensive and involved. But, What do you think the chances are we at least have another uniform refresh? About 10 years ago, the Browns made two major uniforms re-designs within 3 years or so, so it’s not impossible.

    I’m probably more mad with the uniforms than the name. Name had to change – unis didn’t. The white set and the use of so much black are both awful
