Steelers LB T.J. Watt opts out of the Pro Bowl games

Honestly.. as much as I love TJ.. he doesn’t deserve it this year. He missed a bunch of games and wasn’t the absolute wrecking ball we’re used to when he returned. Being voted in on reputation alone is kind of insulting to players who actually did have deserving years but got snubbed.
I wonder why he chose to sit out? I don’t see it in the article unless I’m missing it.
Honestly good for him, he deserves to rest up. Hope he comes back for OTAs healthier than ever.
It’s fucking bullshit that Highsmith didn’t replace him.
Go get some rest TJ. Most of us never even watch the pro bowl anyway. It was just a big Hawaii vacation for the players.

I’m surprised that more don’t opt out. The skills/competition events are OK, but flag football… nope.
The Pro Bowl used to be interesting 30 years ago. Sean Taylor put and end to that.

well thats too bad, i honestly havent watched the probowl games in abit, if he wants to opt out i dnt see why its an issue, he didnt get to have the year he wanted which made me sad, didnt get to watch the beast slay
Pro Bowl is a joke and waste of time. Should just be NFL players having a madden tournament. Would be more entertaining at least albeit minimally.
