My thoughts on the digital dugout ads: They’re tacky, distracting, and unappealing. I prefer the simple, plain wallpaper-style look. Thoughts?

Same as my thoughts on all ads: prefer not. Alas…
I don’t even see/pay attention to them.
Not something I’d ever notice or think about at all. Just wait till there is LED ads on the uniforms!
I never would have noticed
No offense but “can’t stop staring at it” is the point lol that’s why the giants put it there
I barely notice it
Digital is cheaper to produce and doesn’t take as much time to order and receive. It saves a boatload of money in the long run. I also despise them.
Thoughts? Go buy out the space and make them show blank screens… otherwise, it’s a revenue stream, good luck making them give that up…
There are so many ads around the ball park, and it is truly annoying – hopefully for you they eventually become just background noise at some point.
Not a hill I’m going to die on.
More noticeable, yes. That’s the point. Of all the things to complain about, this is not worth it at all.
Eh. Don’t care.
Look around the park. The ballgame is a distraction from the ads.
Money talks and Brandon Belt walks. I think that’s the saying.
Baseball has probably the most down time between actuating through out the course of the game than any sport. It is a sport made for commercialization. Gotta give you something to look at for the 2 minutes between pitches. Baseball is a dying sport they gotta make money where they can.
They’re supposed to be distracting, you’re not supposed to be able to ignore them lol
Compared to the moving ads hockey has implemented this season, this is nothing. Like, I wouldn’t have even noticed these if you weren’t pointing them out.
The team needs the revenue! How else can you expect them to have a payroll … checks notes … $68,000,000 under the first tax threshold?
Yeah never even noticed it till now. Still don’t care. Every ballpark is covered in ads anyways, I’m watching the game, doesn’t bother me.
If you think that’s bad, try watching hockey this season.
My opinion is I honestly don’t care at all, and they should use whatever method generates the most revenue. I can’t speak from the perspective of a player though.
Well if you can’t stop staring at it then it’s effective.
