  1. I don’t understand why he was put in that situation today. I’m sure it has something to do with analytics and our bp already being a little depleted, but even so, he wasn’t the absolute only option.

  2. And yet another piece of evidence that shows us this team fails to use advanced analytics, and would rather operate on “feel” instead of numbers.

  3. The issue with abreu is control, as they’ve said on the broadcast, which makes him prone to the mistakes w/ inherited runners. Hes can be as good as Loaisiga when hes on his game and frustrating at the same time.

The problem is the starting pitching is wearing out the bullpen Brito <5ip, German 6 2/3, Cole 5, Nestor 4 1/3, Schmidt <5 ip the last few games and with no offday.

They are better off stacking Brito & Schmidt in 1 start, and getting a 5th starter originally.

  4. Amber Abreu is still an absolute garbage pitcher and he is still losing games for us as he did every single time he pitched last year.

  5. Analytics can go out the window. Use one of the higher leverage guys in that spot for one out. Abreu can mop up other innings jeez
