Definitely a better team the the garbage heap we have now lol
It kind of looks like a team photo from an “old-timers” game (no offense you guys).
This is more than likely the 1950 or 1951 White Sox. That appears to be a young Nellie Fox sitting second row far right next to the standing old man (#2). Nellie’s first season was 1950. And I don’t see Minnie Minoso, who would have been #9. Minoso joined the Sox in April 1951. So it may be the 1950 team or the ‘51 team at the beginning of the season before Minoso got traded.
Definitely a somewhere in the 50’s White Sox team. Maybe ‘59?
I see my man Nellie Fox in there, next to the old coach on the far right.
The Pale Sex.
Why does the symbol look like that…
Personnel identified:
Luis Aparicio – third row, far right (# not visible)
Jim Landis – first row, second from left (# not visible)
Sherm Lollar – second row, third from right (#0 visible)
Al Lopez – second row, center (#2 visible)
Nellie Fox – second row, second from right (#2 somewhat visible)
Billy Pierce – back row, third from left (#9 visible)
Jim Rivera – third row, second from right (#7 partially visible)
Al Smith – first row, second from right (#6 visible)
Early Wynn – third row, second from left (#4 visible)
Early Wynn looks to be on the roster, but no Kluszewski, so I’m gonna say either ’58 or ’59.
The Go Go White Sox era per history. Not sure what to call the current slate.
It was either 1959 or 1967 but Eddie Stanky was the Mgr in ’67.

Says it’s 1959 (the year they won the pennant).

That’s AL Lopez in the picture.
