[Passan] As mediocre as the Mets and Padres have been this season, no team comes close to the St. Louis Cardinals in terms of downright disappointment. They are a disaster. Five straight losses. A 27-42 record — the worst in the National League, better than only Oakland and Kansas City.

When I say fire everyone, I mean fire fucking everyone. Literally everyone in the front office and coaching staff needs to go along with a solid chunk of the roster. Remove the poison.
[2nd best average home attendance](https://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance) in the league currently though, that’ll show em!
They have not finished with a losing record since ***2007***. Their worst year in the past 10 years was an 83-79 season in 2017. I don’t think it can be understated how shocking this is.
Gotta wonder how much Wainwright regrets not riding off into the sunset with Pujols and Yadi
It’s their worst stretch in a single season since July – September 1997.
Chip Caray ditched us for that miserable team haha
Absolutely should be sellers starting now and trade anyone not named Nolan Gorman, Brendon Donovan or Jordan Walker.
Inject this into my fucking veins.
It wasn’t until last night when I was looking at the standings that I realized St. Louis is quietly last place in the NL.
I knew they started off slow, but I had assumed they turned things around and were playing better. When is the last time the Cardinals were last in the NL this far into the season?
It was bound to happen eventually. I didn’t truly believe we would only have 1 losing season in my entire lifetime…. but I can’t say I expected it this year. I was super confident for the first time this year.
Never again.
Padres seem to be turning it around. Would be .500 if not for that Coors rain game
Passan. Shut it. We all know they’ll pull devil magic from their ass anyway.
And they will come in and sweep the Mets this weekend.
This all started to collapse during that one inning against the Phillies in the playoffs
Looking forward to their impending sweep of the New York Metropolitans.
I bet bringing back Kolton Wong would invigorate them! Please make this happen. We in Seattle are sick of him.
Not sure what management expected to happen with this pitching staff…?
Living in STL it’s fun to point out to coworkers that they’re behind us in the standings. On the other hand the people I talk baseball with at work are either fatalistic or checked out that it makes following the season kind of a bummer.
Thanks for the compliment?
Sorry if I don’t feel bad for a team that has made the playoffs for 2 straight decades and caused us pain in the past lol
Was not a fan of Mike Shildt being fired. Really isn’t looking great at this point. Oli is just not a motivator it seems. How he handled O’Neil at beginning of the season just didn’t bode well.
Mo is a fuck. His passive, BS responses to questions the last couple of years is irksome. His asking for patience is BS.
We have lost 16 one-run games this year. Our bullpen is full of the lol’s, and our clutch performance with this group is also laughable.
I think Oli should be removed. This roster is better than its performance, even if you take into account the lack luster pitching. Our lineup is inconsistent at best.
Wow, a team with a bunch of #3 and 4s and the corpse of Adam Wainwright as their top pitchers isn’t doing well. Shocking
Cardinals fans having existential crises by watching a losing season for the first time in their lives is just delicious.
You hate to see it. 🤣
42 losses? I had no clue it was that bad.
Get over yourselves, you’ll never be the worst team in Missouri lol.
