Pfft. Here’s my guide to getting through the Lillard saga:
• Disassociate • Memes • Watch Shaedon dunk videos on repeat • Cry-watch the Bad Shot • Cookies with the ice cream in the middle • Scoot copium • ~~Dignity~~
“Coaching Trail Blazers Fans Through Losing Lillard”
Getting coached by blazersedge seems like a bad idea. I don’t get life advice from click bait aggregators. I’m good.
Only coping I need (cheap tickets) to make me not cry
Blazers edge is not how I want to cope
Dame is my favorite Blazer and favorite player. I have watched probably 90 percent of his games through his whole career. Shit hit me pretty hard on draft night because I was pretty sure that spelled the end and then I had a little hope after and then the trade request came through. It sucks especially since I wanted him to retire here but honestly at this point I am ready for it to be done and move forward. At the end of the day, dame doesn’t know me and probably doesn’t care so why should we devote any sort of energy towards the situation. He wanted out. He doesn’t want to be a blazer anymore which is fine because yeah, Olshey largely failed him and cronin said things that didn’t help. At the end of the day he will see if the grass truly is greener on the other side by joining the RINGZ culture. And yes obviously I still am a little salty he is doing the one team or bust thing. No way we can go but forward though so lets hope Scoot ends up a generational talent and it’s gonna be rough watching this team completely suck the next couple years but thats the game. Watch for development not for wins and losses. At least that means we will have a couple more lotto picks. I trust Mike Schmitz
pretty sure Jillian is an anomoly
This article is a good reminder that maybe dame isn’t a bad guy, and it’s best for all parties involved to move forward without one another.
I for one wish him the best and while I’ll always be a blazer fan first, I will also always be a Damian Lillard fan
For god sakes he’s 35 in just 2 years. The pandemic started longer than that. I would have been more heart broken if he was 29 still.
It’s best for both sides. Let him have his 2-3 year attempt at a championship while he’s this age. We get a ton of assets and build around Scoot/Shaedon
