Mets prospect Ronny Mauricio must seize opportunity for call to the show

Holding prospects back doesn’t always work. Mauricio was on fire , dominated the winter league, mashed in the spring and was tearing up AAA. Despite this we refused to call him up. This led to him becoming disinterested while playing at a level that wasn’t challenging enough for him. Now his numbers are down.
It’s difficult to be motivated when you’re getting passed up for call-ups by guys not as deserving.
You guys don’t *actually* believe the reason his numbers dipped is “lack on interest” right? Right…?
Because if you ACTUALLY think that lmfao.
His numbers dropped because pitchers found out he’ll swing at every pitch no matter where you throw it. Also it’s hard to learn a new position and he’s learning 2 new positions. They stopped throwing him pitches near the zone
ronny was in a team with elly de la cruz and oneil cruz in the dominican winter league, won dominican winter league mvp mashed until he got injured in AAA never got called up but somehow danny burgers still here.
Well considering the Mets inability to properly develop hitting prospects and having dogshit scouts who can’t recognize talent, I don’t really blame Mauricio for anything.
The new regime hasn’t properly developed or recognized young talent since Cohen took over.
I have a hard time seeing prospects like Vientos and Mauricio succeeding in the majors. Their approach at the plate is terrible.
Honestly, I think there is a big chance that Baty, Mauricio and Vientos may not be as good as everyone thinks. Alvarez looks legit though, and he’s only 21, which is incredible. I hope they all succeed and dominate and they win the WS next year though. Hey I can dream.
