Please delete if not allowed. Found this behind a poster I bought at the thrift store. It’s in rough shape, but is it anything special? It’s from the 80s

  1. That’s a nice find! I recognize a few autographs on there. If you’re an A’s fan then it’s a cool piece to have for sure!

  2. Looks like the 1989 roster. Storm Davis, Rick Honeycutt and Matt Young are all on here and that was the only year they were all on the A’s I THINK. If it IS the 89 team that was a year we won the World Series (Battle of the Bay/Earthquake) so that has some significance as well.

EDIT: Looking closer it looks like there are some duplicates on there. I think whoever had this was just getting autographs. Not the whole roster.

  3. Definitely looks like a lot of names from the 1989 team. Some great names. Carney, Matt Moore, Gene Nelson, Honeycutt, Stew, Storm, Todd Burns, Curt & Matt Young. Nice find!

But – I also see Pete Rose & Jim Gantner there near the A’s logo, and they look like they were signed by the same person? Stew signed it twice? So did Curt Young and some guy named Kevin Fong? No, Kevin Fong signed it 3 times. Weird.

  4. Found signed items are always tricky, could be real, could be some kid practicing his signing skills. But this seems legit from tue recognizable signatures on there

That looks fairly close to Pete Rose’s auto according to google, of course the images in Google are all way more recent than 89, but its close enough to seem real. Having Pete rose on it also dates fairly accurately as I don’t think he was allowed around any baseball team for a few years after he got banned in August of 89, but he was definitely still the reds manager in ST of 89 and the reds play in the cactus league. 89 sounds right, I’d go one step further and say spring training

  5. That’s an awesome find! I hope it ends up in an A’s fans collection eventually 👍
