I’m genuinely starting to believe this team isn’t going to make the postseason. And no one is to blame except the bullpen. Even Bruce Bochy is doing his best, there just isn’t anyone who can get the job done. I hope Chris Young gets the Corey Seager and Marcus Semien of the bullpen world for next year cause this crap sucks

  1. Teams that can develop bullpen (not even necessarily starting pitching) or turn scrap heap guys into productive out-getters have a massive advantage. Rangers need to hire another couple pitching development guys and find an analytics guy to head up the reclamation project department of the pitching lab.

  2. I wonder what our record would be if our bullpen was even just average. I hope this is a big wakeup call to the FO to get some arms for next year.

  3. There was 1 regular who got a full day off that day, and that was several weeks ago. If resting one dude for one day weeks ago tanks your season, your season wasn’t that great already.

  4. Pitching wins championships. That’s why I’m so jealous of the orioles. Their bullpen is fucking immaculate. I was a Chapman Stan, because I know when he’s on, he’s untouchable. But he seems to have the 9th inning yips. If your pitching is mid, your offense better be tearing shit up. Which they haven’t been doing, for quite a while. It’s funny because I know marcus and Corey will do their thing but after that, I don’t trust the line up. It just feels like the rangers ran out of dick. The AL West was throwing it back, telling the rangers to go deeper, but Rangers couldn’t cause there was no more dick. So now Rangers are here with our flaccid dick in our hands, wondering if the AL West will ever call us back.

  5. 2024 was the year to fix the bullpen from the beginning. This was a 3 year rebuild. Team was ahead of schedule. 2022, the lineup was addressed, 2023, the rotation and coaching staff was addressed, and next year, the bullpen will be addressed, and the team will be at full power 🤠🤠🤠🤠 I have faith the CY will fix all of the bullpen woes in the off-season. I’m just enjoying being relevant in September. It’s been far too long.
