  1. Replacing Tito with a manager that knows you are allowed to pinch hit for Myles Straw in clutch situations next year is going to be incredible. 2024 World Series on deck.

  2. Great manager – people will complain about stuff, but just a great manager who got a lot out of this baseball team.

  3. I love the guy, but I agree that it is time. I understand his line of thinking as far as sticking with the veterans because it has paid off (J. Naylor and Amed come to mind), but this organization is retooling with a lot of young guys and can’t have someone who’s philosophy is cramming Straw and Gallagher down our throats

  4. I remember being so excited when they announced his hiring. Thanks for everything Tito.

2016 will haunt me to my dying breath.

  5. Damn, Tito.

Guy really helped turned this organization around and was only one game away from bringing us a World Series in ’16.

Good on ya. Knows when it is time and steps away. I’m sure he will be a HoF manager, and he probably goes in as a Red Sox, but I think his heart will always be with Cleveland.

    I remember his post-game interview after game 7 –

    [It hurts because we care](https://youtu.be/asfWO78q8OY?si=VWDW9uzH-S09I8pj)

    We care too, Tito. Godspeed.

  7. Yea it was pretty obvious when they spent like the entire broadcast basically just reminiscing and talking about his retirement. Sucks we never got over the hump, but man I thought we would’ve done so much more after 2016.

  8. It’s time, but damn I’m going to miss him. This franchise will hire the absolute cheapest option they can find.

Get ready for Manager Ty Van Burkleo.

  9. I may question him sometimes but god dammit I love Tito. No manager past or future can top him in my eyes

  10. There’s that quote from The Office: “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them.” We might just look back at Tito’s tenure as some of the “good old days” for this franchise. If you would’ve told me after 2012 that we’d only have one (possibly two) losing seasons over the next 11, it would’ve seemed unfathomable. We may not have won that final game, unfortunately, but that shouldn’t erase how important Tito was in turning this club around and just how fun this period has been. I’ll always appreciate that.
