So many drops that would’ve made a difference. ONE field goal —> TD and they’d have to push for a score on the last drive. Missing players were definitely felt, but my goodness. This game needs to be a wakeup call for everyone but Mahomes.
If anything, this game showed the Chiefs need Kelce way more than Jones. Defense played good tonight. Held Gibbs and St. Brown in check. Secondary had some bad moments, but overall okay. D isn’t the reason we lost.
Offense looked anemic at times, other times okay. Not good enough. Play calling was questionable given personnel available. Lots to work on this week.
See y’all next week. I’m buying calls on Tums. And for fuck’s sake, learn to catch a goddamn football.
Brutal, but we did this to ourselves! See you all next week
Shout-out chiefs defense. This game would’ve been even uglier than it was without them applying pressure.
Besides that I got nothing to say man.
If I’m Mahomes I’m singlehandedly castrating my receivers in the locker room after that
The Chiefs receivers dropped the ball here.
Toney single handedly lost us that game. And he is WR1.. we’re in trouble lol
Well, that was a highly disappointing way to start the season. The WR room (especially Toney) left a *lot* to be desired today. Hopefully Kelce is good to go next week.
#FUCK KADARIUS TONEY
#Catching drills ALL FUCKING WEEK.
This offense looked like they lacked attention to detail & were hoping an explosive play from Mahomes would solve their issues
Friendly reminder that we lost to the colts and won the Superbowl
This game is going to absolutely fucking kill us when we aren’t the 1 seed come post season.
Has there been a single player more responsible for a loss than Kadarius Toney? Dee Ford?
Well, the QB is still pretty good…
The best QB in the league and no one can catch. D stepped up MANY times but they aren’t miracle workers.
So what WR can we trade for?
Terrible play calling and terrible receiver play
Heard Mike Evans wants to be traded
You cannot have that many dropped passes in a game. Its unacceptable.
The receivers have a lot of blame tonight but nobody is gonna mention the play calls from Matt Nagy?
I just don’t get the coaching staff.
Toney was a detriment.
Moore was invisible.
WHY keep trotting them out? Where is Justyn Ross?
This game gave me Bucs super bowl lvl flashbacks. I just hope we integrate Ross more. I don’t wanna hear any excuses on Moore and Toney. Absolutely horrendous display
If Toney would have caught that pass on the last drive we at least kick a fg and win. This close man
I feel bad for mahomes. Dude was working his ass off trying to make it work. WR room is cooked
I mean Toney basically lost this game. Tipped pick 6 and 2 massive drops that change the momentum. Oh well on to next week.
After tonight, I don’t want the team cutting a deal with Chris Jones. Let him sit out the rest of the season. Tag him in the offseason and trade him.
Toney on the jugs all week until his hands bleed.
I am sick of seeing the ball taken out of the hands of one of the best QBs to ever play the game, on 4th and short our side of the field. We’ve been doing this shit for years and it’s disgusting.
Going to choose to look at the positives/outliers.
1. Defense holds prior season’s #4 scoring offense to 14 points. 7 if you count Toub not being ready for the most predictable fake punt of all time. This is without Chris Jones.
2. Andy with an all-time bad play calling game. At least that is out of the way early this year. Pacheco should be furious.
3. WRs dropped everything. The amount of drops was so insane it cannot possibly remain that bad going forward. Toney with worst game for a WR that I can remember. This is without Travis Kelce.
All these things considered we lost by 1. DET deserved to win despite it being giftwrapped.
We’re at a point where the most promising WR’s going into week 2 are
1. MVS by a mile
2. Justin Watson
3. Rashee Rice
This is a problem folks
This sucks, but KC will be fine. But the biggest concern is how weak our passing options are outside Kelce. Sure some have their moments but Veach and co need to invest in better passing options, because none of the rest are capable of being ‘that guy.’ Whether it’s a trade or via the draft, we gotta improve. Credit to Detroit. I hope they have a great year
If Kadarius catches any of his drops we win that game.
Our defence looked awesome and I think despite the loss, Chris Jones actually lost a bit of leverage after that game
