Always cool to see players sharing their creative pursuits. I hope he discusses more about his art and processes.

  1. Trouba seems like a pretty intelligent guy tbh, he doesn’t have the brute brain that you’d associate with someone similar like, say, Scott Stevens. I mean, fuck him, but he’s interesting.

  2. The first one looks like the Brume Tower from Dark Souls 2. Probably not the intent, but it’s cool regardless

  3. Honestly these are rad as hell and show a legitimate understanding of art fundamentals like colour theory and negative space. I’d be interested to know if he had any sort of formal training in the past while at school.

  4. 10 years ago hockey heads would be like “He has a hobby? HE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HOCKEY.”

Thank god times have changed. Hell, it’s like 60% of why Zbad is a Ranger.

  5. The post mentions that there are 8 in total. The first one with the blue is my personal favorite, but I’m excited to see more!

  6. These are cool. I always find it really interesting when hockey players are into artistic stuff, because it’s not super common. I know Denis Potvin was really into art and literature and his teammates thought he was weird for it lol.

  7. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trouba auctioned some of these for charity through the Garden of Dreams Foundation, he’s extremely wholesome off the ice
